Let them know they can get help.
Talk with your friend. Don’t judge them. Let them know you’re reaching out to them because they’re important to you and you want the best for them. Let them know they’re not alone.
Encourage them to talk with their parents, a trusted teacher, school counselor and friends who aren’t using drugs or alcohol. Invite them to hang out with you. Show them they can fun with using drugs or alcohol.
Be a friend who cares.
